I had a completely different post to put up this week but I decided to change it up. In celebration of the first workday of 2016, sweet 16, I had to share a dose of reality. I am no different then all of you and need just as much encouragement and motivation just like the next gal. But one thing I believe makes me different is that I seek encouragement. I wasn’t always that way.
I use to think that I was motivated enough for me and that I was given a certain amount of motivation and ability and that was all I was suppose to have. Booooring!
It sounds ridiculous to write this down now but thank goodness I was introduced to the world of personal development where one learns to embrace change, to self motivate, to build a wall against other’s negative attitudes, to take charge of your own goals, and to control your own happiness. What a concept!? You can control your own happiness?? Yes, yes, yes!
I have to send a quick Thank You, Thank You, Thank You to Darren Hardy for whipping me into shape. He has been a key component of me moving forward with my business goals and even coming up with goals in general.
This morning he really pissed me off! I’m pissed that I didn’t take hold of this industry and my life journey until my 30’s and I’m pissed that he is making me aware of my lack of future planning and my emotional hang-ups.
Please, when you feel like you’ve stagnated or hit a plateau or even come up with an excuse as to why you let something slide, watch this video and get yourself back on track.
Darren’s Hardy’s “Darren Daily presents Get Pissed!”
Stagnation, hitting a plateau, excuses and just plain laziness are not human traits and were never meant to be! Humans have an astounding ability to beat the odds, go where no man has ever been before and control their own destiny.
Now it’s your turn!
With gratitude,
Allison
