Build People to Build Your Business

I truly believe we were put on this earth to use our given skills to help others.

Not always just to help them when they are sick or in some kind of tragic situation but by simply listening to their needs and offering your skillset when something matches your abilities.

This becomes extremely evident when building your business. The network marketing industry is known for helping people improve their people skills and teaching you how to use your natural qualities to help those around you. This industry is made for people who truly want to help others. There is no way you can be successful building in this industry without a soft spot in your heart for people; friends, family, coworkers, neighbors and even those you might not get along with.

Put your focus on building people and the business will naturally build itself.

Spend time with your new team members and find out what their goals and dreams are; understand what they feel their challenges and obstacles are and then spend your time encouraging their strengths and assisting them in over coming their limiting beliefs.

Help people develop their skills and keep themselves personally accountable.

Make sure they understand how the money is made in this business and what they need to do in order to get paid. You may need to have these conversations multiple times and discuss them in multiple different ways. People learn and hear you differently. Take the time to listen and communicate in their "language". Communication always takes practice but it a very useful skill to master.

As you are learning and growing your skills, use your company's resources... events, audios, training sessions, training videos, team conference calls and scheduled 2-on-1 conference calls with your senior upline and your new team member.

Promote, promote, promote events and work to get others there where they can grow both in skills and mindset.

Put them in the position to see others who have had success and overcome challenges as well. When hearing multiple stories of success, your team member is bound to hear a story that resonates with them.

Share your own stories of success and failure with others. Share stories of other team members that have inspired you.

While you don't want to get into management mode or enable your team members to the point in which they solely depend on you, you do want to let people know you are there when they are in need.

Building people to build your business is a win-win for everyone and truly breeds a positive, growing environment where people are able to flurish.

With gratitude,

Allison
