Keep the Hype Out of Your Business

When we first get started in Network Marketing, we are so excited!

We want everyone to see and get what we see - the product, the opportunity, the potential.

Because of this excitement, there is sometimes a tendency to inflate some of the details. This is natural when sharing just about everything we are excited about. Most people do this in an innocent way, and are not intending to downgrade what they are doing; what they see; and scare prospects away, but it can happen.

It’s best to just stick to the facts, and share personal stories or those that are documented by your company.

What is your product story, without overdoing it? Spend some time writing it out. If you're new to your company, that doesn't mean you don't have a very valid product story. Use your direct upline's story or tell them what you saw as product potential. This is a great time to reach out to your upline leaders and ask them to help you develop your product story. All you need is 1-2 minutes!

What are some income stories? Come up with 3 - the “getting started” story, or how you made your money back; the part time story, or how you are making solid part time income; and the creating wealth story - how to leave a job and create freedom!

Share in a powerful way but don’t exaggerate!

This also becomes important as you start to see some success in your business. Whether you grow fast or slow people can see through too much hype.

Share stories of encouragement and empowerment. Share true success and passion for your company.

That is what will grow your business. Not the hype.

With gratitude,

Allison
